
Anthony David Gonzalez was born 27 February 1976. He is an American football tight end. He played 17 seasons in the National Football League. Gonzalez is regarded as one of the top tight ends in history, and currently is the NFL's most successful tight end when it comes to receiving yards and receptions for tight ends. Gonzalez is also ranked third in receptions total. Gonzalez was selected in the first round of the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a part of the team for his first 12 seasons with them. In the final five seasons, he was with the Atlanta Falcons. Gonzalez was retired in 2013 and was an analyst for football at NFL on Prime Video. He previously worked with CBS Sports and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also received six first-team All-Pros. He is known for his endurance and never fumbling, Gonzalez appeared in 270 of 272 games during the regular season and lost only two fumbles over 1,327 touch. He was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019.
