She won six Olympic medals and was part of two gold-medal winning World Championships teams. Aly is an Needham native. Her passion for the sport can be traced back to 18 months ago, when she was in a "mommy-and-me" gymnastics class. Aly is a great leader on and off the floor and a passionate advocate of body positivity. This was evident recently as she spoke out against Larry Nassar in his sentencing trial.
